Fletcher Granite Innovation
A tradition since 1881 – few companies can match the enduring legacy of Fletcher Granite in providing granite building products for such a wide range of applications.
Developing ways to use granite as well as technology to bring it to the project within budget.
From project inception, designers have always relied on Fletcher to provide insight into the use of granite for their projects. From pricing to value engineering, we consistently support the design community.
Fletcher Granite Company has always led the industry innovating production systems geared to improving response times. In the 1940s, Fletcher pioneered in-quarry wire sawing and ‘jet-channel burning” which created a revolution in slab extraction.
A standard gauge, short-line railroad with over one mile of track is used on our site to transport stone from the quarry to fabricating facility.
With a fabrication plant covering over 65,000 square feet, our state-of-the-art equipment included computerized jumbo diamond saws, with capacity to handle blades up to 14′ (4.2m) in diameter, automated diamond wire saws and a series of smaller saws for cut-off and edgework.
Our hydraulic splitters give us ample capacity for building stone and curbing up to 3 feet in rise. Finishing work is aided by many machines designed and fabricated in-house including curb jointing saws, circle guillotines and an inlet machine for curb inlets. Automatic thermaling and polishing machines produce consistent finishes.
New saws, polishers and fabrication equipment are continuously being added or improved.
Today, stone quarries around the world use Fletcher Granite inspired technology to save time and money in granite production.
Our most valuable resource is our people. With over 150 years of combined stone cutting experience, we can replicate any finish.
